Josephus: Henry Leeming: Josephus' Jewish War and Its Slavonic Version: A Synoptic Comparison (2003) "This volume presents in English translation the Slavonic version of Josephus Flavius' "Jewish War, long inaccessible to Anglophone readers, according to N.A. Materskej's scholarly edition, together with his erudite and wide-ranging study of literary, historical and philological aspects of the work, a textological apparatus and commentary. The synoptic layout of the Slavonic and Greek versions in parallel columns enables the reader to compare their content in detail. It will be seen that the divergences are far more extensive than those indicated hitherto."

The Lord had foretold that false prophets should arise and deceive many, and that fearful sights and great signs should be from heaven; and these words were literally fulfilled. The miserable Jews desperately grasped at the hope of a coming Messiah, and eagerly listened to deceivers, who only lured them to ruin. A wonder in the sky, resembling a fiery sword, hung over the devoted city ; appearances as of chariots and assembling armies in the clouds terrified the astonished beholders ; and one night the priests in the temple were alarmed by a quaking of the earth, accompanied by a strange sound, and a voice which uttered the mysterious words, "Let us depart !"

I think if one studies, they'll eventually figure things out, which is truth, and truth will expose lies and liars, which will expose what is popularly believed as true for the lies they truly are. But oh dear, such a dilemma, what to do about it?! People have been deceived for so long! It's not an easy truth to know, because it won't be understood for the truth it is by those you love, but feared as lies which is what they were told. Knowing truth is not an easy cross to bear.

THE VEIL IN THE TEMPLE WAS TORN UPON HIS DEATH, THE CURSE THE JEWS PUT ON THEMSELVES AND SUBSEQUENT GENERATIONS BY WHAT CAME OUT OFD THEIR MOUTHS AFTER PILOT'S VERDICT AND THE PROPHECY OF THE DESTRUCTION OF THE TEMPLE BY CHRIST. SALVATION CAME FIRST TO THE JEW THEN THE GENTILE. GOD LEAVES NOTHING UNDONE AND AGAINST ALL ODDS THE JEWS ARE A SOVEREIGN NATION AGAIN AS HIS PROPHECY STATED AND GOD IS FINISHING WHAT HE STARTED. THE JEWS SOON WILL HAVE A RUDE AWAKENING WHEN THE DELUSION OF THE TRUTH THEY HAD IS REVEALED.
