Taking a cue from DANIEL 4:l6, I propose "NEBEKEDNESSER", that is, Nu (50) + Eta (8) + Beta (2) + Eta (8) + Kappa (20) + Eta (8) + Delta (4) + Nu (50) + Eta (8) + Sigma (200) + Sigma (200) + Eta (8) + Rho (l00) = 666. The lesser attested number for the beast is cited as 6l6. I propose "KAISAR THEOS" (Lord God), that is, Kappa (20) + Alpha (l) + Iota (l0) + Sigma (200) + Alpha (l) + Rho (l00) AND Theta (9) + Epsilon (5) + Omicron (70) + Sigma (200) = 6l6. The SEPTUAGINT, Ezra 2:36 states that the Jewish HOUSE OF JESUS was captive/exiled in 6th century b.c. Babylon! The New Testament letter titled First Peter 5:l3 states, "Greetings from her who dwells in Babylon . . ." (The New English Bible)
Although Revelation l3:l8 could be solved by proposing "NEBEKEDNESSER" for 666, the contrasting number of 888 for Jesus' name spelled in Greek is not cited in THE NEW TESTAMENT! 888 is found, however, in book one of THE SIBYLLINE ORACLES. THE SIBYLLINE ORACLES contain numerous riddles that are to be solved employing the numerical values assigned to the Greek alphabet around the 8th to 6th centuries b.c. All the riddles have been solved except the very first one in book one regarding the 9 lettered name for the FATHER of Jesus. I propose, despite forthcoming objections, the following solution: THEOCHRISTU, that is, Theta (9) + Eta (8) + Omicron (70) + Chi (600) + Rho (l00) + Iota (l0) + Sigma (200) + Tau (300) + Upsilon (400) = l697. According to THE KABALAH OF NUMBERS by Sepharial, the numbers 666 and 888 denote, respectively, the lower/animal nature AND the higher/divine nature. What does the numerical value of l697 denote regarding the 9 lettered name for the FATHER of Jesus? I suggest it conceals two occult/arcane features. Firstly, it conceals the cipher for "THE MESSENGER GOD OF LIGHT." Secondly, it conceals the knowledge of the time it takes sunlight to reach the earth when the earth is farthest in its orbit about the sun. The first occult feature is made intelligible in the following manner: Taking each individual integer of l697, namely, l, 6, 9, 7, and adding them together gives us 23; next, add these two individual integers, namely, 2 + 3 , which gives us "5". This last single integer then corresponds with a COSMIC PRINCIPLE, namely, "THE MESSENGER GOD OF LIGHT." (Recall the Gospel of John l2:46 where Jesus states: "I have come into the world as light." Also, see Psalm l04:2 and the lst letter of John l:5-6; II Corinthians 4:6, etc.) The second occult feature of l697 is made intelligible in the following manner: It takes about 8 minutes and 29 seconds for sunlight to reach the earth when the earth is farthest in its orbit about the sun. According to David R. Fideler, in his work titled JESUS CHRIST SUN OF GOD, the numbers l, l0, l00, l000 are all symbolic of unity or the source. Therefore, let l minute (60 seconds) be equivalent to l00. Therefore, 29 seconds would be equivalent to 48.5. It follows that 8 minutes and 29 seconds would be equivalent to stating: 800 + 48.5 = 848.5 Finally, using the earth as the midpoint in sunlights journey from its source and, then, reflected back to its source would be equivalent to stating: 848.5 + 848.5 = l697. Dear Brothers, Would like to have the email address of Bro John L Bray if he is still alive. I am an English missionary in Orissa India that is finalising my thesis on the Book of Revelation. I want to include 20 pages of notes from his nis book Israel in Bible Prophecy, Page 33 - 53. as an appendix to my Book. I have also changed from futurist to believing the other three views Preterist, Historicists and idealists are correct and compatible and that futuristic interpretation of revelation is false. Regarding the cryptic triad of numbers found in DANIEL Chapter l2 & REVELATION Chapter ll . . . scholars generally try to "force-fit" the ostensible 43 and 42 'months' into the 2nd century b.c. historical milieu of Antiochus Epiphanes IV during the height of his persecution and desecration of the Jerusalem Temple in l67 b.c. to l65/4 b.c. However, the following suggestion is that the 42 and 43 'months' are intended to be actual years! According to Robert Graves, in his work THE WHITE GODDESS: "In this type of apocalyptic literature, years are usually stated as months . . ." The numbers 42 and 43 are arrived at by dividing the center number in each triad, namely, l290 and l260. What, exactly, is being alluded to by a period of 42 actual years? I suggest the following: King Nebuchadnezzer of Babylon entered into his 'accession year' in 605 b.c., but his 'regnal year' was 604 b.c. (as king of kings). The Book of Jeremiah 52:30 mentions that the last deportation of Jews from Jerusalem occurred in Nebuchadnezzer's 23rd year. Dating from Nebuchadnezzer's First Regnal Year of 604 b.c., the 23rd year would be 58l b.c. for the last deportation of Jews from Jerusalem. Now, from 58l b.c. until Babylon fell in 539 b.c. to Cyrus of Persia would be a period of 42 actual years!! The following year, 538 b.c., would be the First Regnal Year of Cyrus of Persia . . . a period of 43 actual years from the last deportation of Jews from Jerusalem! The fall of Babylon in 539 b.c. coupled with the Edict of Repatriation the following year (538 b.c.) fulfilled the Lord's prophesy through Jeremiah. (See II Chronicles 36:l9-23; Ezra l; Isaiah 45:l; Jeremiah 5l:33.) The Jewish HOUSE OF JESUS (See SEPTUAGINT, Ezra l) was also captive/exiled in 6th century b.c. Babylon. Rather, non-Jews wishing to participate in this community are given practical training as to how to live harmoniously within an intentional community that regards everyday affairs as an expression of the love of God. Q3. Name some of the practical things encompassed by this Way of Life. A3. The novice, for instance, was trained how to defuse anger and lust, how to respond to those who love money or seek glory, how to learn (or relearn) how to live justly and simply. Members were expected to share their possessions with those in need since their possessions were free gifts of God meant to relieve hunger and homelessness. Furthermore, members were instructed how to publicly acknowledge their failings against each other such that their eucharistic meal could be celebrated in peace and harmony. Q4. Was the eucharist, then, the Lord's Supper and was it always celebrated in the context of a full meal? A4. Quite so. The Didache has been recognized as important because, unlike the rest of the New Testament, it alone reveals that the eucharist took place every Saturday evening, that it was always celebrated in the context of a festive meal, and that it focused upon the coming Kingdom of God. The Didache offers us the most extensive and the earliest set of prayers used during these sacred meals. Q5. You mentioned earlier that sharing resources was routine in this community. Now you mention the weekly festive eucharist. Did the members then live together? A5. Some did. The Didache reveals, for example, that anyone entering upon the Way of Life could expect trouble from their parents and relatives the moment that they began to share family resources with outsiders. Once a novice became a full member and refused to honor the family idols, most were driven out of their parents' home and taken in by a "father" or "mother" that had already been assigned to them by the community. Such persons were expected to continue in their trade or profession and, if they had no skills, they were expected to be apprenticed so that their hands would not be idle. Wandering prophets, on the other hand, were welcomed "as the Lord" and given free room and board in the homes of members. Q6. Who were these wandering prophets? Where did they come from and what did they do? A6. The Didache makes it clear that wandering prophets were regular visitors. These prophets were men and women whose lives had been shattered because they were forced to sell their farms, their workshops, and even their own children in order to pay off their debts. Finally, shamed by the specter of debt-enslavement, they resorted to becoming vagabonds whose only worth was to pray publicly and ferociously that God the Father would come soon to straighten out the Roman system of global economics that had destroyed their family, their lives, and their health. Q7. So, these prophets were once independent and self-reliant farmers and craftsmen who had been crushed by economic woes. Their only hope was that God would come to relieve them. A7. Quite so. The ancient world had no such thing as unemployment compensation or social security. Working families trapped by growing debts were thus slowly bled and exploited by money lenders. In the Didache communities, however, the sharing of resources made this economic degradation impossible. They regarded themselves as an extended family. Prophets who settled into these communities, therefore, were gradually cured of their shame and many even learned to laugh and to work again. Q8. Are you then saying that the ragged vagabonds visiting the Didache communities were somehow healed of their shame and degradation? A8. Yes. From the day they first arrived, prophets were approached by those coming with the first fruits of their gardens, of their workshops, of their ovens and asking the dirty and smelly prophets to offer a prayer of thanksgiving to the Lord. Vagabonds on the run were only too willing to wax eloquently in their prayers of thanksgiving for they knew full well that they were being treated like Jewish high priests, the ones who customary offered such prayers. For those who stayed on, however, the pain of having nothing was slowly eroded by the vision of a community that was prospering and giving thanks. Children peeking out from behind the skirts of their mothers initially brought them bitter tears because they remembered their own children being sold into slavery in order that they might not starve. With time, however, these same shy children taught them to laugh and to play again. Bye and bye, the layers of despair and shame passed away and they began to gain hope and to work with their hands again. As they did so, however, the fire in their belly went out and their prayers of desperation dried up. They ended up prospering by the work of their hands and left behind their prophetic calling. Q9. Did their prophetic calling disappear or did they get healed of their despair? A9. You decided. What comes first? What follows? Or do both come together? Q10. Stepping back a bit, I note in your two books that this lost document, the Didache, was originally found in 1875. Why is it that we haven't heard about it for a century and a quarter? A10. Excellent question. I would answer this riddle by saying that the document was right in front of the noses of scholars but they didn't realize what they had. Right from the start, the Didache got classified as a second-century church order. Moreover, for over a hundred years, it had been assumed that the Didache was merely a collage of bits and pieces of archaic materials drawn from places and periods that defied our powers of knowing. Essentially, the Didache was a riddle and no one knew how to decode it. Thanks to my own trainers and to my fifteen years of work on this document, I have been able to crack the code of the Didache and, for the first time, to discover the original purpose and unity of the text. Once I had done that, it followed that I began to hear the voices of those who lived the Way of Life and who worked together to make the good life possible for their members as they awaited the coming of the Lord. Q11. So I hear you saying that the Didache was like the Rosetta Stone. It gathered dust in the museum until someone noticed that what was written in Greek corresponded to what was written in Egyptian hieroglyphics. It was there in front of everyone's noses but no one knew just how important it was. Q11. Yes. That's it exactly. Q12. Final question: why did you publish two books, both of which are entitled, The Didache? A12. Ten years ago, my hairdresser discovered that I was interested in the early church and she began to tell me all the fascinating things she had learned about the Gnostic Gospels from reading the book of Elaine Pagels. From that day forward, I knew I had to write a short and snappy book accessible to hairdressers and brick layers. Thus Liturgical Press and I produced what is affectionately called "the mouse." At the same time, however, Paulist Press and I produced "the elephant"--a thousand-page tome that satisfies the demanding criteria of scholars. One such scholar met me in the hallway of the Marriott Hotel where I recently unveiled and lectured on the Didache. He got into my face and boldly asked, "How does a quiet guy like you get off with publishing a thousand pages of commentary on a document that could neatly fit on eight pages?" I was tempted to respond by telling how voices from the Didache communities had filtered into my dreams, kept me up at night, and required me to get up out of my warm bed, put on my robe, and sit at my chilly computer until their whispered revelations had been duly recorded. I was also tempted to tell how my ideas had changed in the course of fifteen years of close attention to the marvelous details offered by the text and that I had to make a suitable apology for why I had overturned nearly every major notion of how the Didache was constructed and used. In the end, I simply said, "My poor mouse was defenseless. She needed a heavy-weight companion to keep from being stepped on." Closing: That's cute. It is about time that we correct the belief of some Christians that the RESURRECTION is the "resurrection of the body." The truth is there is not a single verse in the whole Bible about "the resurrection of the body." Three verses (Luke 20:35, Romans 1:4, and Philippiana 3:11) talked about the "resurrection from the dead." The resurrection is a spiritual resurrection just as Jesus said "about being like angels in heaven" or as Paul said about "spiritual body."

We had left another church and I was just desperate for some truth about God and his word. I punched in pre-trib and post -trib in the computer web search and of all things the Preterist Archive came up!! I was beyond shocked! I had never heard of Preterism. I was a big time reader and yet had never heard of this. I started reading and it freaked me out so bad, I saved it to my favorite places and didn't go back for months. But my curioscity got the best of me. I spent weeks and months and now years, reading and learning.

There is a purple ribbon project that was started in the heavens that is becoming highly commendable. Trees and churches are being decorated with these purple ribbons. The purple ribbons represent the glorious return of Jesus Christ. The second advent of Christ will be the most wonderful event the world has ever experienced. The purple ribbons represent the return of Jesus in the SKY and not on land. Please note that a similar purple ribbon campaign was started in Desert Storm which regard our American soldiers for their safety and safe return home. It would be great to implement both the Return of Christ and our American soldiers with the purple ribbon campaign!

Most of the Biblical scholars I have researched attribute the writing of the Revelation to St. John the Apostle. I have always believed this as well. Recently I read that a more liberal faction of Christian scholars say that the Revelation was written in a more "barbaric" greek than the refined style of the Gospel and Epistles of John, alluding to the opinion that the author of the last book of the New Testament was "some other John." Is there any shred of evidence for this?

So often we as "Believers" have gotten our minds and hearts caught up on the extraordinary. We forget the simple things that God has made known to us. That "measure of faith" should not be wasted on idle arguements over whose right or wrong, whose better or whose worse. The LORD knows our hearts better than we. He commanded us to love. He commissioned us to "preach the good news..." I have continued to wonder why we find it necessary to argue and belittle and degrade and condemn. Jesus said that He did not come to comdemn, but to save. And we are to follow His example with signs and wonders. Someone once said "The world is not tired of Jesus, just the feable attempts to represent Him." If you wonder why the world has rejected the WORD so readily, just look at what many are doing. Stop using "Thinking Error" people. Quit blaming, making excuses and avoiding: Blaming others for taking prayer is out of school. Making excuses for the "governments" actions. Avoiding the truth about yourself. Galatians 6:1 "If you see a brother taken in a fault, you who are spiritual, restore such a one in a spirit of meekness; consider yourself lest you be taken in a fault." Dear Todd, First of all, I am writing this, because I have been in one of these so-called end-time cults back in 1976 to 1981. A person, a false prophet, had predicted and set a date for June 1981 and also that Israel would get her land back, etc. You may have heard of this story not only from this group, but through the years for this seems to be one of the common teachings. Also, they had a timeline of 1981 for the rapture and then 1988 for the Lord's return and the end of the world. Also, you can confirm this and see it for yourself on a website called 220 False Prophecies. Maybe you can use this for your list of false prophecies or to give others information on these groups like you have been.(This where I have seen your webpage concerning this type of material) This cult had it's effects on me and my wife and it is a sin and bad thing for one to speak in the name of the Lord, holding his word and it is unsound doctrine and false teachings. It is very deceiving to one who does not know what the word of God teaches, but I have learned my lesson and would never be involved with another prophetic and end-time group again. They misuse the word of God and abuse by controlling and manipulating people and living off of them because they also believe what they teach more or less. Thank you very much for your website and its message of hope. After reading some of the articles on the site, I was beginning to despair that after death I would be no more. It never occurred to me that death means something different for God's followers today than it meant for his people in the Old Testament. I'm glad I remembered that Paul promised we would receive incorruptible bodies, and used the search engine to see how the Preterists would respond to I Corinthians 15. Although I have rejected the rapture movement for years, I haven't had an alternative theology. For a while, I followed Seventh Day Adventist teachings, but finally realized it as the cult it is and rejected their prophet, Ellen White, and their premise that the Sabbath is the seal of God. Since leaving that two years ago, I have often thought some of their teachings must be true (for example, death or sheol being like a sleep or rejecting the theory of the soul in heaven being reunited with a physical body) but fear kept me from doing much to answer my questions. It is truly an awful experience to be so badly deceived. It has been a difficult experience sorting through "Do I believe this because I heard it growing up, or I heard it in the Baptist church, or I heard it in the Adventist Church or is it really in the Bible -and if so, am I really understanding it correctly?" Also, now I realize that when your whole point-of-view is skewed, all your conclusions are skewed as well. I have had a really hard time believing anything to be "true", since realizing that much of what I convinced was true was not. Yet I could not answer why I believed the rapture to be untrue as well - this has caused me much turmoil, as my very-charismatic in-laws have been able to bring doubts into my mind about my very salvation . Gary, I’ve always been curious about the cultures, empires, nations, and countries that have had the greatest effect on our own US culture. I've found that European history is vitally important to understanding US history. The catalyst is the ability to read the works of responsible historians and writers who have been able to provide the hard links between Biblical and Secular History. Many years ago I was given a article been written by Rev. F. F. Bosworth back in 1958 ntitled "Joseph is Yet Alive". Rev. Bosworth made some astonishing statements I later find to be true. I'd been raised in the typical Protestant home and taught that Gods chosen people are the Jews, which I now find can not be supported anywhere in our Bibles. It taken a long time to understand how this false teaching became so prevalent in the church today. I found a gold mine in a book entitled "The Light and the Glory" by Peter Marshall and David Manuel, both Christians, who searched the basements of our oldest universities for books, manuscripts, diaries, logs, letters, and notes dating as far back as Columbus to reassemble our nations history using the information they found that had long been forgotten and deemed irrelevant. I read "Judah's Sceptre and Joseph's Birthright" by J. H. Allen, published in 1902. Another excellent book is "One Man's Destiny", by the late Christina R. Dickey. My quest included a simple rayer "Lord, reveal the truth to me". Wow, what a journey. When I scan over book titles, only those the Lord want me to read catch my interest. To date, none have ever been on the list of "best sellers". There are many very well researched and responsibly written secular history books on the shelves that are helpful in putting the historical puzzle together. There are some who think what I've learned is what is taught by the Identity Movement, others say "that's what The Worldwide Church of God (WCG), and Herbert W. Armstrong teach. Or, that's what the Mormons believe. The fact is, if it's only partially true...then it’s a lie. Most of these organizations base their whole doctrine on some piece of truth to promote a theology of lies. Nearly everyday I learn something new that helps me get a better grasp of the truth. Satan wants nothing more than for our lives to be filled with things that appear to have meaning, but in the end have none and keep a person from tasting the truth. He tries to use a world filled with illusions and fantasies to fill our lives with things that only deceive and bear no fruit. I sense a lack of misunderstanding and bad teaching has infiltrated the church when it comes to history, who we are, and our purpose. Example: A Semite or, Semite is someone descended from Shem, one of the sons of Noah. A Hebrew person is someone descended from Heber or, Eber, one of the great-grandsons of Shem. So, all Hebrews are Semites, but not all Semites are Hebrews. Isaac was born of Abraham and Jacob was born of Isaac. Jacob's name was changed to "Israel," and he fathered 12 sons. His sons and their descendants are called Israelites, and they would be both Semitic and Hebrew. However, this would not make either Abraham or Isaac "Israelites." Many interchange the words "Jew" and Israelite, and call Abraham a Jew. Abraham was not an Israelite, nor was he a Jew because his great-grandson Judah was not yet born. The word "Jew" is not used in the Bible for more than 1,000 years after Abraham. One of Jacob-Israel's children was Judah (Hebrew - Yehudah). His descendants were called Yehudim ("Judahites"). In Greek this reads Ioudaioi ("Judeans"). The confusing factor is that almost all Bible translations employ the word "Jew," which is a modern, shortened form of the word "Judahite." Every time you come to the word "Jew" in the Old Scriptures, you should read "Judahite;" and every time you come to the word "Jew" in the New Scriptures, you should read it as "Judean. We are led to believe Anti-Semitic means is anti-Jewish. Judaism is a religion and not a race, tribe, or nationality. I was born in the United States, making me an American, of Norwegian ancestry making me Scandinavian. I’m likely from the tribe of Dan or Benjamin, sons of Jacob, who was renamed Israel by God. By birthright that makes me an Israelite (not Israeli). At no time have any of my ancestors been Jews, considered Jewish, or practiced Judaism. That also makes me Hebrew, and a descendent of Shem, making me a Shemite, or Semitic. It is important that students of the Bible understand the distinction the Bible makes between the two kingdoms called “Israel.” The Southern Kingdom, which consisted of the two tribes, Judah and Benjamin, plus a part of Levi, are known as "Judah," or "The House of Judah", while the Northern Kingdom called Ephraim, Israel, or “The House of Israel”, consisting of the remaining nine tribes plus a part of Levi. The capital of the Southern Kingdom was Jerusalem, with Samaria the capital of the Northern Kingdom. The clear distinction is never lost sight of in the Scriptures, and it is impossible to follow the truth of the story of Israel without knowledge of this distinction. After the reign of King David’s son Solomon the Northern Kingdom of Israel and the Southern Kingdom of Judah would have two separate and distinct destines, captivities, and hardships. They would even war with each other until the Northern Kingdom of Israel’s captivity by the Assyrian’s, followed by the Southern Kingdom of Judah’s captivity by the Babylonian’s. If you can understand “Not all Hebrew are Jews and not all Jews are Hebrew” the Bible becomes alive with new revelations as you read and learn. This becomes especially important regarding the Northern Kingdom of Israel, because they had dispersed after their Assyrian captivity, which began in the year 725 BC. The church and many of our great schools of theology are guilty of perpetuating lies concerning our heritage and genealogies, allowing false teachers and professors to pollute the minds of young theologians. The pre-millennium promises of God made to the "House of Israel" have not, and never will be fulfilled by the "House of Judah", therefore many are inclined to mock Christianity and accuse God of unfaithfulness. So, where is Israel today? Lets see where our Bible says they might be found: · Israel will glorify Christ. Has Jesus Christ been recognized by a Jewish nation? Isaiah 41:16; Luke 1:32; 7;16. · Who declares that Christ is the Lord God of Israel of the Old Testament? Isaiah 43:10-12; 49:3, 6;52:6; Acts 1:8. · Who shows forth the praises of Jesus? Isaiah 43:21. · Who has carried the gospel to the entire world? Have they witnessed for Jesus Christ? Are they one nation or nationality? · Who today is innumerable as the stars of heaven and as the sands of the seashore? Genesis 22:17; Hosea 1:10. Again, are they assembled in one country? · Who are those that possess the gates of their enemies? Genesis 22:17, 24:60. (At the time of the end this power was to be "scattered." Daniel 12:7; Deuteronomy 32:36) · Israel is a nation and a company of nations? Genesis 35:11, 48:19. · Israel has a new name today. What do you suppose that name is? Carlson Many of us came from churches like this one, and waited too many years to condemn apostasy that allowed us to ignore genocide in the name of supporting Israel. PHARISEE WATCH: A Self-Liberating “Vigil for Peace” in Tempe AZ Charles E. Carlson We are witnessing a call for a Neo-Crusade, an unholy war against the entire Muslim world under the name of “War on Terrorism.” Worse yet it is finding its support in the place least expected, from the pulpits of many loudly proclaiming we are born again “Christian” churches. Our purpose is not to observe or complain about this terrible wrong, but to research it, explain it and with Gods help, correct it. On Sunday, our Arizona Project Strait Gate advisors joined others in a silent “Vigil for Peace” at the Calvary Tri-City Church in Tempe, AZ. We talked to or gave literature to about 75 of the hundreds of attendees who passed our big yellow and black message boards. Some Strait Gate team members arrived at 8:30 in the morning, and we were still there at 2:00PM. Twice members of Calvary congregation came out to tell us how grateful they were we had come. Each stated they had great concern about their church’s teachings about war upon the Mideast. And Roger, a former member of Calvary, was among our group holding a sign that read: “CHOOSE LIFE, NOT WAR.” Reverend Stephen Sizer of Christ Church, England is perhaps the most dedicated new scholar writing about the Scofield Bible craze, popularly known as Christian Zionism. He has quipped, "Judging Christianity by looking at the American Evangelists is kind of like judging the British by watching Benny Hill." Reverend Sizer's remark brings to mind another Benny; his name is Benny Hinn, not a British comic, but an American evangelist spouting inflammatory hate-filled words aimed at Muslims everywhere. Hinn was speaking to the applause of an aroused crowd of thousands in the American Airline Center in Dallas when he shocked two Ft. Worth Star Telegram religious reporters covering the July 3d event by announcing, "We are on God's side," speaking of Palestine. He shouted, "This is not a war between Jews and Arabs. It is a war between God and the Devil." Lest there be any doubt about it, Hinn was talking about a blood war in which the Israelis are "God" and the Palestinians are "the Devil." If the eschatalogical prophecies of the Bible are all fulfilled in the 70AD incident, then precisely what future is there? Is Christ not coming again, then? Is there no judgement such as we have pictured in Revelation 20? Will there not be an end to all things as we now know them? Preterism takes away my expectation of future judgement. What does it leave me in its place?

I'll ask a few: 1) If the events of end times (rapture of the church, judgments, etc.) occurred in AD 70, why then was the Apostle John left to endure the wrath that God promised in Romans 5:9, 1 Thessalonians 5:9? Was John lost though God spoke to and through him? 2) The Revelation of Jesus Christ to John is considered Forth telling. If the events of Revelation occurred in AD 70, and the Revelation of John was written in AD 96 (26 years after the fall of Jerusalem) Is John only shadily outling the past in parables and conparisons? He would have lived through the period of the fall. 3) What time period are we in now? Paul spoke of the dispensation of grace that he was handing over to the Ephesians. Did it end in AD 70, then the seven years of tribulation that would have taken out 3/4 of the earth's population? If the thousand year reign with Jesus Christ occurred immediately afterward (from 1st Century to the 10th Century) why were there then persecutions upon those that stood up for the word of God. Millions were tortured and killed during that space of a thousand years. Why would the Lord permitt that under perfect conditions? If this is the New heaven and new earth, Why does sin remain rampant and Satan run loose. Wasn't he suppose to be thrown in the lake of fire?
