Guestbook Log For 2003
I recently sent notice through your e-mail that Don Preston has totally misrepresented my position on the Date of Revelation. I am an advocate for the Medial (Vespasianic) Date. My quote concerning the testimony of Irenaeus was construed by Preston as though I were grudgingly admitting a weakness in the Late Date evidence. Preston needs to do his own research on the Irenaeus material. He either missed what I said relative to the Medial Date and failed to grasp the general tenor of all of my articles on the date or he chose for his own purpose(s) to ignore these matters. I also believe that preterism is heresy and have frequently spoken in refutation of it and helped to edit a book against it. H. Daniel Denham [noted.]
Q: Todd, Got your message on 2Peter. I had asked another question about 1 Cor.11:26. Paul tells us to take the Lord's supper "till HE comes". If Jesus came in 70AD and Paul wrote this in 56AD,the church should only have done this for 14 yrs. and not for over 1900yrs.
Fulfilled Prophecy of The Olivet Discourse. Matthew 24, Mark 13 and Luke 21 , Amazing but true. Historians like Josephus records the Jewish wars. The destruction of Jerusalem and the Temple,70 AD. The Judgment came upon all Judae in those days. The facts of history and the history of the Church. Christ came in the Spirit and lives in His people. Death, Resurrection and Judgment comes to all Men. To each in his own time and in his own order. Heaven awaits those who believes in Jesus Christ. To those who look for Him, He will appear the second Time unto salvation, apart from sin. Hebrews 9:28 fulfilled prophecy, realized Eschatology ~ Dean Hell awaits those who don't believe in Jesus Christ. [those apart from God -- not in christ -- are already living in hell! Great summation.]

While I never was a dispensationalist, I did not accept (or even hear of) preterism until Samuel G. Dawson, who has some articles on your site, taught a lesson on Matt. 24 here in Amarillo, TX. At that time, he believed Matt. 25.31ff and 2 Pet. 3 to be speaking of the so-called "2nd coming of Christ". He has since "seen the light." I certainly owe a great debt to him as he pointed me in the right direction concerning Bible prophecy.
Hello! A number of years ago, I was reading a book by a man named Charles Samples. I know that he was a Preterist who lived near Indianapolis. He wrote a book about the Gold Standard with quotes about how the early Americans regarded paper money with as much disdain as the Mark of the Beast. Does this ring any bells? What I'm looking for is information about the history of the Gold Standard. Or maybe a way to contact Charles Samples. Please let me know if you have any information. Thanks, Dror [try Google.com. You'll find hundreds of materials on the "secret history of mammon".]
It's been six months since my introduction to preterism. I had no idea at the time any interpretation other than dispensationalism even existed. A TIME Magazine Letter to the editor from a preterist debunking the "Left Behind" article opened my eyes. I approached with trepidation and prayer. After only a few days of research in this site, I was convinced of the preterist view point. I've been a Christian for many years and can't believe I've only now learned of preterism. This is one of the most exciting things to have happened to me since I accepted Christ. Steve Sibula, Pinckney, Michigan - ssibula@umich.edu
Great website! Very informitive and provocitive! Try to keep up the good work without being too divisive. We are ALL in this together. Rev. Don Thompson
Hi Todd... I'm not sure if you are the author of this webpage , I just saw your email at the bottom of the page. I would like to thank the author for writing this text. I have been studying Dispensationalism lately and I have been telling some of my Christian friends that it is a very dangerous doctrine, if my studies are correct. When the article started with "Rhetoric aside, one of the most dangerous doctrinal systems in the world today is Dispensationalism" I was quite intrigued since this is how I felt. In short, dispensationalism does away with what Christ accomplished in the Cross, by raising up the dividing wall Christ brought down between Jews and Gentiles. Anyway, this is just a short email to say, Thanks for the article! :-)
[What is dangerous is the denial that Jesus Christ is the Everlasting King. Lester Rohloff used to say, "Either Jesus is Lord or all, or He's not Lord at all." We need to "King" Jesus! Any system which places Satan on Christ's throne is horribly apostate.]
Recently doing a study of 70 weeks of Daniel and found my way to your site. Excellent! Then I wondered.... Preterist??? so I read your conversion story, then your letter, How can Preterists Believe these things? . It's uncanny but I just started reading Josephus and am on about page 50 as of today. I started reading it because I read that he mentions some false messiah's, but now I have even more of a reason to drive me forward in my studies. Raised in the Brethren church, married a charismatic Catholic, we both attended Assembly of God churches here and there, currently a Catholic myself and consider myself very Pentecostal and charismatic. I turned 30 years old this year and began reexamining my Christian faith. So after I studied enough to establish the historicity of Christ, I turned my attention to establishing His Messiahship. Recently I just finished reading Pliny the Elder's - Natural Histories. A wonderful work which I thoroughly enjoyed!!, and my first book read from the first century besides the Gospels. Your views excite me and I haven't even begun to study the Preterist web site. I just felt compelled to write you and say that for a long time I've been suffering in my studies, but your words seemed to ring of truth, of that truth that testifies with the truth inside me. I plan on reading more. Your studies and the wonderful testimony of historians and the studies of all men throughout history are WORTH THE TIME, and I feel lead to thank you, as one who has only just begun to realize the importance of history. God Bless You and Love in Christ Anaheim, California
I can no longer tolerate listening to dispenstional lies at church. I just tune out teachings that are steeped in end time hype or will even take an extended potty break. I don't even bother discussing my views with others at church because I know they are radical futurists. I happened upon the preterist views after listening to the Bible on tape about 10 years ago and heard the part in Matthew 24:34 where "...this generation will by no means pass away till all these things take place." I said, "Huh?" And then I started studying the Bible for myself until I came to the conclusion things weren't as I was told. A few years ago I was so relieved to find that what I was thinking was called "preterism" and that many people already knew the truth. I no longer feel stupid because I wasn't able to understand the book of Revelation. Now who are the stupid ones? Kyle Lewis, Reno, NV

It would help if there was some real content in all that, but it's just meaningless platitudes and out-of-context ideas about the nature of prophecy.
What a wonderful site. I merely checked the web today interested in locating any information of the topic of preterism and there you were. I have book marked your site and will come back often. I am still studying the Biblical evidence on this issue and still have some questions. Thank you for so much good information and resources. Don Pastor
I just stumbled across your Web site by accident, and was impressed with the collection of material. I remember the first time someone called me a "Preterist"--I didn't even know there was such a word, and went to look it up in the dictionary--because I pointed out what the scriptures were really saying. I arrived at this through a study of the scriptures themselves, not someone else's writings. It is good to see that others have allowed God to show them the truth of the scriptures instead of buying into some man's fantasy. Keep up the good work! Bernie Parsons
Christian Greetings! And Hello Todd, and everyone! This is Jerry Boyer...Todd, you remember me, I think. It's been awhile! Anyway, I was searching on "google"...had entered: The Sounding of the Seven Trumpets. I found this link on about page 20. I did a little "browsing" and then of course, was curious to see the "entries". I heard about Preterism just a few years ago. I was very interested because my background was similar to the amil view...an everyone knows(?) "amils" think that any pre, mid, post or pan =) are "several tracks over" from de "right one". Well, I purchased and read many books and booklets etc. I was convinced that "almost" what the preterist view presented was probably pretty accurate. However, I asked many to direct me to a presentation of the seventy weeks of Daniels prophecy...showing conclusively that the 70th week ended A. D. 70 and the destruction of Jerusalem. I received recommendations of various books to read, but none that would "zero in" on the evidence of when the 70th week was fulfilled. To me, clear evidence as to when the 70th week was fulfilled would be the conclusive evidence! smile..., but very serious. I will mention that I have read some regarding the fulfillment of the 70th week at 70 A. D. But everyone knows(?) that in order to do that, one has to place a "gap" of about 30 plus years between the end of the 69th and the beginning of the 70th...an to me, any honest an common sense person knows "that" won't work. I know 30 yrs is not as "far out" as "2000 'n counting", but a "gap", to me (and surely many)...means: There's something missing in understanding. Okay, I'm outta here *grin*...please, understand: I love and respect every preterist! Just tryin to encourage...please consider: continuing to consider *S* until all de correct pieces to the "puzzle" are in their respective place! Now, don't wanna leave without leaving a "calling card"...you may wonder..."who is that character, anyways" =)... Jerry Boyer (Cleveland, OH) brotherboyer@eveninglight.org and www.geocities.com/omifren/ His love and blessings to you and yours!!
Dear brethren at The Preterist Archive, We greet you in the glorious name of our Lord and savior Jesus christ. Dear brother I am so glad that I make known about ministry concerning service of God to you. Having the great burden towards the perishing souls we get involved in outreach Gospel. As you know that our country people most of them are idol worshippers and illiterates they are not willing to know that JESUS CHRIST is the Saviour of the world. Even through we are facing many problems and persecutions in all aspects from some powerful groups (You may know Bro.Graham Stains incident) we are going on in doing the Lord`s service in faith. In these bad days our who focus on activities of young people to fell victims and to turn away from the right path. They are gradually attracted by T.V. serials and Internet illegal sites and they are wasting their time.So being forced by Holy Spirit we established a Library by name "HERMON Reading Room". We hope people may avail of this ministry and get some advantage. So dear brother kindly send your free Christian literature/material what ever the material available with you. So that you can support our ministry. Kindly up hold our ministry in your valuable prayers. Your answer will be gratefully received. Involve and support us to fulfill the goals. We expect favorable reply so that the Lord may move the situation here forward. We are praying very much for your ministry. I am totally blown away by this site..... Hey can't someone delete the "David Koresh imitator's" duplicate posts? I am eager to continue my study that I started 20 years ago and never did complete... To the one from Aneheim who posted in January, 2003... This is a great time for you to rediscover just what you believe. I too am pentecostal/charismatic... attending an Assembly of God Church... was raised Southern Baptist though.. but at the age of about 27 back in the late 70's I myself had a personal "epiphany" concerning the 70 weeks of years in Daniel and 70 A.D. I am thrilled that you are re-examining your view points.... Let me let you in on a little secret.... I hope this is the beginning of years of re-examining your view points... and that you never ever get in a spiritual rut or entertain sacred cows. I pray that the Holy Spirit will routinely shake your "box" up so that you only depend upon Him and not your doctrine. God Bless you All... L.A.Sealy laurapop1953@yahoo.com

If there is peace in 2003, will there be war in 2004? Is bible prophecy silent? visit me at http:/www.defyingdestiny.com for a discussion. :-)
I find your statement absurd and defendly not what the HOLY SCRIPTURE teaches . Your view is to my feeble understanding not biblical ,for it entertains ,the LORD saying [2 Peter 3.4],because some SCRIPTURE is not grasped makes the plain teaching of the some not wrong,as you suggest. You seem to reticule the WORD just as others have who refused to come to MESSIAH ,when He was presented to Israel, by John the Baptist, according to the SCRIPTURE. This is a lame excuse ,because others rejected MESSIAH ,their failure to hear and obey the witness of the SCRIPTURE concerning YESHUA first coming and the WORD of GOD claims of its fulfillment [Daniel 9.25-26]. MESSIAH did come in the fullness of time ,just as YESHUA did in Isaiah 60.2],when he finished with ; // To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD,//.Here the LORD did not complete the whole sentence, verse, but stopped there.Peter said that Paul wrote things hard to be understood. The stand taken by you is to my simple understanding a betrayal of the SCRIPTURE plain teaching ,for a discredited view, that has no standing in fact, but pleads ignorance even when it quotes Church cherished Theologians ,but have been ignorant of the plain teachings that require not simplistic arguments but the facts ,which you argue by a dialectic approach , human reasoning.,not sound exposition given in the WORD of GOD.John
What a breath of fresh air! I bought and read everything of Philip Mauro's I could find in the late eighties, and here they are plus others on the web. I can't wait to peruse your website, thank you. I've been having a running debate on Daniel's 70 weeks with some guys on biblemaster.com If you happen to go there my handle is grumpy58, I'd love either your help in debate or a critique of what I might be doing wrong or right as the case may be. God Bless You - Mark W. Randolph

I was just surfing the internet and came across your site. I can see you've put a lot of work into it. Thanks for allowing us the use of this page. Patricia Warren http://www.mountainretreatorg.net
I came across your website and was very impressed. I noted appreciatively that you had posted an article that I had written against partial preterism in particular, which I find to be highly inconsistent, and a brief e-mail exchange I had with Mr. Alan Nairne concerning dispensationalism versus his preterist views. I apologize for the "typos" in these two articles, but they fairly well represent my views. I have expanded some of these views on Robert Fenner's website http://www.geocities.com/robert_upci/william_chalfant_page.htm if anyone would care to look at them. You do excellent work. I look forward to reading more of your material. William B. Chalfant
Do you know who the real Mabus is.
Soon to come are those to point the finger at Israil .I heard the first of the finger pointers ,last night on public TV 04-14-03 Michigan ,Flint. The person was born in the Middle East.
THANK FOR THIS GREAT SIDE. I WANT TO BE A MEMBER. I DO NOT LIKE WAR
I believe that the final abomination of desolation is actually a nuclear warhead (or nuclear missile) to be set up to stand within a temple or on temple property inside of Jerusalem.
I really appreciate you. Thank you for all your help in furthering the Full Preterist message. Our church is in major revival right now, and this message is getting people stirred and revived. Please keep the good work going, we are praying for you and your family. In Jesus name, D.
Todd, you do not even know how you have been a tremendous help to South East Florida. My church family and I appreciate all the work you have done for us Preterists.
There is nothing more silly and unlearned than preterism.
There is nothing, in the realm of professing Christiandom, more silly and unlearned than preterism.
love your site http://www.1heluva.com/cgi-bin/join.cgi?refer=1005
Loved your web site. Very educational. Like you, I am Reformed and love to read from mostly Reformed Authors and Reference Material. I was Pre-Trib at one time but now have left that view. When I was researching and digging into the Pre-Trib view, I learned that I had to be a dispensationalist as well. From my research and studying, the dispensationalist view is unbliblical. I am glad that your web site exposes that view as being unbiblical. Glad that there are some, still trying to preach the real Word of God with no sugar coating at all. Finally, I have a dispensationalist study Bible called, The Prohecy Study Bible by Mr. LaHaye. I want to rid myself of it but I don't want to pass it along to anyone else. This Bible does have some serious issues with it and I don't want to help spead heresy. Anyway, I am glad to have stumbled across your web site, while visiting the Yahoo Search Engine. I typed in Mr. R.C.'s name and your site appeared. Glad it did. I will be visiting this very often and will read from it. This site has been saved to my favorites folder. It is a blessing unto me. With God's Blessings--DP <>< P.S. If I share any books with someone, I want to make sure that they promote beliefs that go along with the Bible.
I have been reading the articles on your web page for quite some time now. I see that we (Preterists) are called quite nasty names at times. They say we follow the same heresy as Hymenaeus and Philetus. I have studied on this heresy idea and on the surface I can see their point. Upon closer examination, it becomes more clearly associated with our opposition. Hymenaeus and Philetus Who concerning the truth have erred, saying that the resurrection is past already; and overthrow the faith of some. (2 Timothy 2:18). Holding faith, and a good conscience; which some having put away concerning faith have made shipwreck: Of whom is Hymenaeus and Alexander; whom I have delivered unto Satan, that they may learn not to blaspheme. (1 Timothy 1:19-20) Their sin was in erring on the timing and this seemingly is associated with blasphemy. Also, it seems to me that contextually they are linked with the ever present Judaizers. Is this then not the same sin as modern day evangelicals who claim that we are in the last days. Isn't premellinnialism wrong on timing and don't they have a strong link with the doctrine of the Judaizers in trying to make this Christian age subject to the law again. Advocating the Jews return to the holy land , the rebuilding of the temple, the reestablishment of the sacrifices, and such. For if I build again the things which I destroyed, I make myself a transgressor. (Galatians 2:18) Doesn't that make them guilty of what they accuse the preterist of?
Hello, It appears that I have found another guestbook to sign. I have found this web site as I was looking for prophecies and one site leads to another. I read the Bible at age 34 and I have had the understanding of prophecy fullfillment from my very first reading. However I never heard of Preterism until now at age 39. I was babtised in JESUS name and filled with the spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues once, according to Acts 2:38. Although full preterism can in my opinion prove scripturely that it has ceased (outpouring of the Holy Ghost), I can not dismiss the fact, that with me, I would not have been convinced of a spiritual kingdom, or of GOD, or of the truthfullness of the Bible; had I not experienced the evidence of the out pouring of the spirit. I dont know if IAM allowed to consider myself a full preterist but I scripturely agree with your eschotology (interpretation of bible scriptures). I know you cannot reach the conclusions of preterism without a dilligent study and knowledge of the bible. You must also have the ability to overcome the misconceptions of a life time of mankinds interpretations. I was fortunate in the sense that I was completely ignorant of the bible before I read it. Which is not the case today. IAM a lover of the word (truth) and I cant get enough of it. Keep up the great work. Buce Houston - Sterling Heights, MI. HOUSTONAPOLLO@AOL.COM
Friends Im a soldier (U.S.) whos in Kuwait/Iraq, and need your Prayers!!!!!!!!!(Reconciliation of my family and marriage Mike & Julie) Brothers & Sisters, Im a soldier in Kuwait/Iraq and need your Prayers. I just got back from a couple days in Ir%Q! Truly an eye opening experience, Once you cross into that Country, Its as if you've entered, the time of the Bible, and you feel out of place with all these Modern military vehicles coming through, With vehicles racing through with TV written on the side, It was in this small town that I caught eyes with a peasant woman of about 25, and I felt I was looking into the eyes of Jesus I smiled she Smiled back, and the moment Froze in time, I then turned and looked at a little Girl about 8, She smiled and I saw the Uncertainty, Mixed with expectation in Hers, we moved on down the road past blown up trucks tanks cars, Mig 21 still on the ground since 91, to a more modern Iraq! I then realized that the country has one foot, still In the days of Abraham, and the other in the 21st century, One part showing the greediness of man, man that's turned his back on God, and another side looking to the past ripe for evangelization, scanning the horizon for some Savior to come along. I saw allot of things that I'm not at liberty to discuss, but the greatest thing I felt and what I cant seem to shake, was the feeling that Jesus was saying I'm hear and I love these people, for tread Lightly this is Holy ground, Your mission is just but be Just in your mission. I felt a great need for prayer for the people of Iraq! Like a evil spiritual force was ruling over that area, so the next wave, had to be Prayer covering, that the battle has now accelerated into the Heavenly, that's my Interpretation of the trip, I cannot get those (Loving, Happy Confident) eyes out of my mind. God bless, Mike//////////////////////////// Brothers and sisters, > I have a favor to ask? Truly a great Day for Christians! the day our King overcame the world, death, hell and the grave. Here's a little story from down town Kuwait City, that I heard in Protestant (contemporary) church tonight, the Chaplains were giving a ride to an Army Catholic priest, Who was dropping off some needed items to the local priest for Easter service! It seems there is a small catholic church in the Heart of the city the only Religious organization that's not Muslim, normally on any given Sunday there's 10 people who show up! However all the Chaplains (of many denominations who were escorting the Priest) were ecstatic when they saw when they arrived and saw a line that went from the front door down the street around the corner and down that street, do to the rapid success of the military there seems to be much greater acceptance among the common man, who wanted to hear more about this Jesus that the Military was claiming was its God. Well that's the latest from Kuwait. God bless you. Mike

I have heard of your fixed view ,that are not what the WORD ,the whole council that GOD has equipped his children not to give heed too idle interpretations that defy the apostolic WORD,that has been given by the HOLY SPIRIT,of whom the LORD promised his SPIRIT to guide his very own apostles into all the TRUTH.Your determination , insistence of making the facts to fit some obscure idle private interpretations make not that case ,but obscure facts, the TRUTH sheds light on .That LIGHT has been shown to give light on portion of SCRIPTURE ,that presents precept an precept and line upon line here a little there a little ,that assures believers of his GOOD SHEPARD'S leading ,that he has promised for his little flock.John

After reading your thoughts about Christ's second coming, I notice you quote the parable of the wheat and tares as refering to Jesus Christ's second coming. I would just like to mention that Jesus says "The Kingdom of Heaven is like" Notice the word "kingdom" here. This is refering not to the second coming but The Kingdom of God on earth That Christ rules for a thousand years after his second coming. (Revelation 20) as is the parable of the mustard seed and a few others. Secondly you state that christ is talking about This generation but what you fail to mention is the generation he is refering too is the generation that sees all the signs of his coming. I could spend hours refuting your ideas but i havent the time, I only hope and pray that you search again because your theory has many flaws.
There certainly is an evil afoot when mere men assume they have controll of Christ's timetable. Thank God the men and women that gave their lives (as Christ Himself laid down his life for us) As for Israel, there are more than enough historical references to corroborate the truth...1) Jacob was the father of 12 sons and many more daughters 2)Ephraim, the son of Joseph, brother of Judah was the main family of the Northern Kingdom of Israel(as oppossed to the Southern Kingdom of Judea). and 3)Israel is at times refers to all 12 tribes (the trbe of Dan took up with the blonde peoples called Kennites and Amorites many centuries before the last war between Israel and Judea. Don't forget the book of Genesis where-in Joseph saw in dreams all 11 of his brothers bow to him, as well as Jacob and Sarah(mother of Benjamin -the father of the tribe that was grafted into the southern kingdom of Judea and in fact the ancestor of Paul. Lets not be decieved by them that would decieve the very elect. In fact read about Shephardic in the old testament and you will know they are the despised foreigners that were inported to re-0ccupy the former lands of Israel(also synonomous with Ephraim after the main family of Israelites) and then the history of the Khazars, the Jews of Babylon and communism and running a ruthless atheistic empire(book of Esther) and you can see the meaning of the Revelation warning to John from Christ as to Jews that say they are Jews but are not and their synogogues of Satan. I LOVE YOU ALL IN JESUS NAME PLS KEEP OFF MUGU@MUGU.MUGU
Hi! My name is Richard Shaffer and I am looking for a church in Riverside County, California. I'm what would be called a Partial Preterist. Do you know of any christians in my area? Thanx! rakasan03@aol.com
In the past year I've gone from being a post-trib premillenialist to being a "partial preterist" (I think that "partial futurist" is a better term, since ALL schools of interpretation put the fulfillment of at least some prophecies in the past) to coming to the realization that God has fulfilled His promises to His people. I came to learn about this doctrine quite by accident; I was doing a "google search" on Buff Scott and found his critical article (and the response by Mr. Preston) on this site. It was at this point that I began to seriously investigate preterism. (Previously I had only heard secondhand information about it and totally rejected the idea that the resurrection had alread occurred because the sources with which I was familiar did not clearly explain the preterist position.) During my period as a "partial preterist" the biggest problem I had was that of consistency. As a member of the church of Christ (like Don Preston and Jim Hopkins), I, like many others, could understand that Jesus' declarations about the kingdom being "at hand" in the first century pointed toward the church being this promised kingdom (Matthew 4:17), but I rejected the idea that the same phraseology had the same significance when used of the "end" (1 Peter 4:7; Revelation 1:3). For a while I toyed around with the idea that AD 70 was a "type" of the future end, but then I ran into a problem: if one can use that idea to support the "partial preterist view," why not use the same methodolgy and turn AD 70 into a type of a premillennial "end"? When I realized this, I came to the conclusion that this concept was not very viable or consistent and was only an attempt to preserve my futurist bent while maintaining that Jesus said what He meant in Matthew 24 and Revelation 22:20. After some more studying I realized the truth, and the simple fact is that no futurist viewpoint properly handles Hebrews 9:26 (Christ came at the "end") and 10:36, 37. A "very little while" does not mean 2000 years. Moreover, the futurist "bodily resurrection" argument does not hold either, for 1 Corinthians 15:35-50 very explicitly states that the resurrected body is NOT the same type of body as the natural one. It is my prayer that more people would understand the beautiful fact that there is no more curse (Revelation 22:3) because the law of Moses has been done away (Galatians 3:13). One last note: I have a AV with Scofield's notes in them. The most humorous thing in the world is that he attributed the prophecy of Matthew 23:36 to the judgment of AD 70 BASED ON the statement that "All these things will come upon THIS GENERATION" {emphasis mine} but rejected that the promise of Matthew 24:34 that "THIS GENERATION shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled" {emphasis mine} despite the similar phraseology. Utterly inconsistent. K Perkins
Mr. Dennis, I just read your site, 'Parousia' by James Stuart Russell. I am amazed at the accuracy of this man's explanations. But it saddens me that he did not understand the meaning of this Greek word. Para: alongside, or near ousia: substance, female gender. A Greek word indicates female gender, if sentence grammar does not dictate its usage, and the root word has male and female suffix available, but the female is used. The root, ousa is used in the Lord's Prayer, with the male suffix, modifying arton -bread- a male noun. The Parousia of the Lord, means the woman alongside belonging to the Lord. Isaiah 60:1 and others refers to this woman. If you are interested, I will send you references and other information on this word.
I have been greatly blessed by your ministry as well as bro. Blume's. The partial preterist viewpoint has expanded my understanding of the scriptures, (all scriptures, not just prophetic), by leaps and bounds. For the first time I feel the witness of the spirit when deaing with prophesy. Since I have been studying the partial preterist teachings I have had a scripture based answer for every question asked of me concerning prophesy. It is nice not to have to fall back on supposition and personal intrp. Thanks!
This is a great webpage. The way I look at the New Testament the Book of John is a preterist book. It is a fulfilled presentation of the prohesies and promises of Jesus. The only thing futuristic in it was his statement that he will come back for his apostles. I believe that this he has also done already at that time when each was martyred for their faith in Jesus. Dr. Isabelo S. Alcordo
hi..ok- I am convinced that dispensationalism needs to go in the trash can. As I ponder preterism, however and as I try to explain it to others I am confronted with a single resounding question..."What does that mean? Where are we NOW." I am wondering what this means for my daily life. If Christ said preach the word to the nations then the end shall come and it DID> then do I still need to be preaching something? What about this verse>Jer 31:34.(no need to teach) And...where is the devil? Has the 1000 year reign taken place also? Are all these questions answered somewhere? On all the sights I have found about preterism they deal with the fulfilled things of the past but do not offer any practical explanation regarding TODAY and where the believer stands and what is required of them. Thanks
you are misinterpurpting the Bible . Read it for what it really says . Just listen and don't try to make excuses like you do in your website. It is so plain and clear what it says. You won't be popular but that does'nt matter.
Just finished Rev. Bray's Israel in Bible Prophecy. Very enlightening. However, I still have problems with Romans 9:27 vs. Romans 11:26. The former states, of course, that the people of Israel, though numerous as the sands of the sea, only a few will be saved, whereas the latter explains how "all Israel will be saved." Rev. Bray points to the few people of Israel being saved in chapter 9, then disposes of the apparent contradiction in chapter 11 by explaining that "all Israel" refers to "spiritual Israel" which, if I understand correctly, includes the saved gentiles as well. Why could St. Paul not have made that clearer? I wonder. Could he not have simply stated "all Israel, including saved Jews and gentiles alike?" You can certainly understand how one might be confused about that. TM
I've been reading your preterist view and I do agree with alot of it. I used to be a futurist but I soon decided to forget all the anti-christ stuff and just beleive that when Jesus comes no one will no when. I beleive if anyone was the anti-christ it was Nero. But after reading your view that Jesus allready came that worries me a little. Maybe you can put my mind at ease. The world does seem to be advancing and acheiving more amazing things all the time. What if we start to clone people? Will god act or do something to stop us? What if the moral decay in the world continues, or is this only happening in America and a few other leading nations. What will god do? [TDD - There have always been, and will always be growth pains for mankind. With greater opportunity comes greater responsibility, and we have not always been mature enough to handle what was given. I do believe, however, that this earth is destined for a balance between the spiritual and the temporal. At some point in the future we will be able to look back and see our collective growth, just as an individual can with their personal growth. Looking at the trend of the last 2,000 years (since the Advent of Christ), perhaps we can see that growth in progress already. Though the last few decades have seen lows in moral behavior, it is not enough to disrupt the trend, in my opinion. Sometimes, it is darkest before the dawn.]
I believe Jesus did come spiritually but not in AD 70. He came as the comforter and the life giving Spirit at His Resurrection. Joh 14:2 In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. Joh 14:3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. Jesus was in the Father at the time of speaking this verse. The place He would prepare is a place in the Father. He came to them after the resurrection as the life giving Spirit. (See 1 Corinthians 15) He went to the cross for redemption to prepare a place for us in the Father. AD70 has nothing to say about this kind of ecoming. Joh 14:18 I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you. This verse declares emphatically that Jesus comes as the comforter. When did this happen? At His resurrection. We know that He became the quickening Spirit at His resurrection. 1Co 15:44 It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body. 1Co 15:45 And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit. After Jesus rose He breathed on His disciples and said "receive the Holy Spirit." This was an effectual breathing; it brought results right there and then. They received the life of God from the quickening Spirit. The most you can say about AD70 is that God judged the nation of Israel according to prophecy in the OT.
What does 1 Peter 4:17 mean to you? I believe that not only an Elijah and Moses type are coming in the last days, but also that the entire early church of God is coming again in today's modern day church leaders, Jerusalem of the Old and New Testament. Hermalena Powell

I agree with the church being Israel now & Revellations dealing with the persecution of the church by the Roman empire & a lot of what Jesus prophesized to be fullfilled in the destruction of Jerusalem in 70 ad. This is in line with catholic theology. But I believe that Christ instituted the new covenant at calvary when he offered his life as a ransom for all.Jesus established the Eucharist to remember this sacrifice of his life. He said in Luke 22:19 "This cup which is poured out for you is the new covenant in my blood". Obviously he shed his blood at Calvary. Also one must be loyal to the Nicene & Apostles creeds Regards
I was reading your information about how it was figurately about Jesus returning in/with clouds. But when I read those passages in Math, Mark about Jesus returning in the clouds, I take this literally that Jesus will return with power and glory and every eye shall see him, and the brightness of His coming will be so glorious, The clouds also are a symbol of the presence and guidance of the Lord as in the wilderness journey.
I believe that the flesh turns into dust and the soul spirit returns to the father that gave it.
I've been looking for some good, Christian-based anti-Zionist web sites and am glad to have come across yours. In my opinion, "Christian Zionism" is one of the most dangerous heresies to have come along in recent years, primarily because it is not at all obvious to many Christians. Its supporters are severely hindering the spread of the Kingdom across the world in general, and across the Muslim world in particular, by aligning themselves with the state of Israel and thus alienating many who might otherwise have an interest in the Gospel. It certainly puts our brothers and sisters in Christ in the Muslim world in a very awkward, and often dangerous, position.
"Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away until all these things be fulfilled. "Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.' If you feel the presence of the Holy Spirit as you conjecture, or witness to the non-believers or the lost, from the so-called preterist standpoint, then I would say you felt the chills of validity. However, I dare say you don't. If the preterist, skeptic, or the atheist wants to focus on the literal or present tense of the first statement above, then I would say consider the same when reading the second. If Jesus words do not pass away, as they haven't, then they must always be in the present tense. Therefore his words are always applicable to this generation. The great I am, is beyond time, and our miniscule comprehension of it. May the grace and peace of our Lord be with you, Yours in Christ, Porter +++ P.S. When an old pawnbroker repents and starts getting signs from the Lord, you better get your copy of the book out. canoe@america.net

BRIEFLY, WHAT IS ORIGEN'S DOCTRIN?
I find the preterist archive stimulating and thought prevoking. I visit your site regularly. Keep up the good work. Mike Schomberger
I've been presenting all the major systems during a Bible Study, trying to portray the uncommon theories as positively as possible while pointing out the odd problems w/ dispensationalism, problems most never hear about. You should have been there last week when we covered preterism! I thought they were going to throw me out! Actually, some of them did receive it thoughtfully, while others completely (and loudly) rejected the possibility without considering the details. They seem to feel that this view is restricted to some crazy cult of people that should be locked up. I guess I can't blame them...it has taken months for me to get to the point that I believe preterism to be the most logical system, although I don't yet feel able to call myself a preterist. This week (Wednesday) we cover dispenstationalism. I will likely open many eyes to the serious logic problems, but most people are so indoctrinated into futurism that I don't thinkthat anything I could say would make a difference. Overall, my assessment is that the only people that would ever be able to accept preterism are those that are willing to spend 3 to 6 months carefully studying the various systems. If I wasn't preparing for thisBible Study, I would never have come to the point that I now find myself at. (BTW, my wife also thinks it is crazy.)
I have just recently been introduced to the Preterist school of thought. My mind is boggled. I am doing a lot of unlearning and it is not easy because the world as I knew it has changed. However I am glad for the implications if indeed this point of view is the truth. It's just that in all my learning in high school and college I was never quite introduced to the literary style of biblical prophecy.
Hi Todd, God came into my life back in May. I hadn't thought about Him in about 30 yrs. (I was a catholic in my youth).I was just sitting at my computer, going to xrated sites and playing online games for hours a day then working. I am 53 yrs and just retired. The day God came to me was unlike anything I have ever experienced. Before I knew it, I was crying, repenting, then grabbed a bible my daughter had given me a year before but collected dust. I must have read it thru it more than a few times in the past few months (I hadn't read a book in 20 yrs before this). I dont't follow any doctrines, but the doctrine of our Lord Jesus Christ and His Father, I prefer to be called "desciple of Christ". Anyway, my mom happened to ask me if I believed in the rapture. I asked her what rapture was that. She has been a dispensationist for at least a dozen yrs or more, and had prophecy books and movies she wanted me to read. Evidently, God didn't pull me to read them, I just read the bible and used the interned for bible study (I cast satan off it). Anyway, I am ready for when Jesus Christ does come and know He will protect those that are His, maybe even devinely as He did in the old testament a lot, so I am not worried. I was kind of studying revelation a bit, and assumed also it might be past tense on a lot of it, even the destruction of the temple and Jeruselem. Tell me what you think about the 2 witnesses in chapter 11. I don't know if anyone else has had this interpretation or not, I have never seen it anywhere. Revelation 11 The Two Witnesses 1 Then there was given me a (1) measuring rod like a staff; and (2) someone said, "Get up and measure the temple of God and the altar, and those who worship in it. 2 "Leave out the (3) court which is outside the temple and do not measure it, for (4) it has been given to the nations; and they will (5) tread under foot (6) the holy city for (7) forty-two months. 3 "And I will grant authority to my two (8) witnesses, and they will prophesy for (9) twelve hundred and sixty days, clothed in (10) sackcloth." 4 These are the (11) two olive trees and the two lampstands that stand before the Lord of the earth. 5 And if anyone wants to harm them, (12) fire flows out of their mouth and devours their enemies; so if anyone wants to harm them, (13) he must be killed in this way. 6 These have the power to (14) shut up the sky, so that rain will not fall during (15) the days of their prophesying; and they have power over the waters to (16) turn them into blood, and (17) to strike the earth with every plague, as often as they desire. 7 When they have finished their testimony, (18) the beast that comes up out of the (19) abyss will (20) make war with them, and overcome them and kill them. 8 And their dead bodies will lie in the street of the (21) great city which [1] mystically is called (22) Sodom and (23) Egypt, where also their Lord was crucified. 9 Those from (24) the peoples and tribes and tongues and nations will look at their dead [2] bodies for three and a half days, and (25) will not permit their dead bodies to be laid in a tomb. 10 And (26) those who dwell on the earth will rejoice over them and celebrate; and they will (27) send gifts to one another, because these two prophets tormented (28) those who dwell on the earth. 11 But after the three and a half days, (29) the breath of life from God came into them, and they stood on their feet; and great fear fell upon those who were watching them. 12 And they heard a loud voice from heaven saying to them, "(30) Come up here." Then they (31) went up into heaven in the cloud, and their enemies watched them. 13 And in that hour there was a great (32) earthquake, and a tenth of the city fell; seven thousand people were killed in the earthquake, and the rest were terrified and (33) gave glory to the (34) God of heaven. 14 The second (35) woe is past; behold, the third woe is coming quickly. The Seventh Trumpet--Christ's Reign Foreseen 15 Then the (36) seventh angel sounded; and there were (37) loud voices in heaven, saying, "(38) The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of (39) His [3] Christ; and (40) He will reign forever and ever." Joh is told to write what he has seen, what is now and what will happen later. All I know is, the destruction of Jeruselem and the temple (at beginning of chapt 11, John is told to measure it ,why?)was prophecied all thru the prophets and Jesus, (and it would happen to "that generation")so it was a pretty big event, that is why I kind of keyed on that period. He said it would be trampled by gentiles 42 months (same amount of time giving to beast from the sea chapt 13). And to write down "what is now", could be him witnessing the destruction of Jeruselem. THe apostles and desciples had already been warned by Jesus about it, but all this is being seen from Heaven now as it is happening, maybe. John I think is describing here, (what he has seen), life, death, and ressurection of Christ, witnessed during his time as an apostle with Jesus?. John told to "come up here". He is in heaven with the Throne of God. God talking to him. Sending 2 witnesses for 3 and half years 2 olive trees and 2 lampstands ------------ 2 witnesses = Christ? prophet and law, Spirit and Word, (Son as prophet(Word), and Holy spirit)?. clothed in sackcloth (he was mourning for the people of Jeruselem at that time), prophecies 3 and half years. Has power do miralcles. Beast comes out of the abyss (apostate jeruselem leaders, beast seems to symbolize an anti-christ or persercutor of Christ's followers). Kills the 2 witnesses (romans and the jews crucify Christ?), bodies lay on "street" 3 and half days, do not suffer to put them in a tomb (burial) (body does not suffer decay as mortals do in burial, and the spirit and words can't be buried?). Rejoicing by romans and jews that kill Him, after 3 and half days, "God breaths life" in witnesses (Christ), He is resurected, and then is told to "come up here" and "went up to heaven on a cloud",( same as in Acts, after 40 days on earth and witnessed by 500 people?) enemies hear of resurrection, great fear, earthquake (could me riot or unrest or an actual earthquake, don't know) appeared killing multitudes, the rest gave glory to God. Next, "The 7th angel sounded his trumpet and loud voices in heaven said "The kingdoms of the world became our Lord's, even of His Christ; and He shall reign to the ages of the ages". (In chapter 10:7 it says: "when the days of the 7th trumpet is about to sound his trumpet, the mystery of God will be accomplished".) This is how I interpreted it or how God interpreted it to me, as I always pray before I read the bible, but it does seem to imply this. Maybe this might help a little in getting rid of that false rapture doctrine. It is making christians less strong in their faith with Christ I believe. God bless all of us and deliver us. in Christ always, Steve Phillips
The Lie of the Rapture Matt.13 [36] Then Jesus sent the multitude away, and went into the house: and his disciples came unto him, saying, Declare unto us the parable of the tares of the field. [37] He answered and said unto them, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man; [38] The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one; [39] The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels. [40] As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world. [41] The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity; [42] And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth. [43] Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear. He said his angels will tale the wicked out. Matt.24 [3] And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world? [4] And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. [5] For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. [6] And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. [7] For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. [8] All these are the beginning of sorrows. [9] Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake. [10] And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another. [11] And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. [12] And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. [13] But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. [14] And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come. [15] When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:) [16] Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains: [17] Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house: [18] Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes. [19] And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days! [20] But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day: [21] For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. [22] And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened. [23] Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not. [24] For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. [25] Behold, I have told you before. [26] Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not. [27] For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. VERSE 22 THRU 25 VERIFYS THAT THE ELECT ( BODY OF CHRIST THE REAL CHURCH) IS STILL HERE AND THE DEVIL IS STILL TRYING TO DECIEVE THE ( BODY OF CHRIST) BECAUSE The UNREPENTANT ARE ALREADY DECIEVED AND ARE HEADED TO HELL!!!! GOD LOVES YOU!!! Have a Righteous day.
Proposal to the last unsolved riddle in The Sibylline Oracles (book one) regarding the enigmatic 9 lettered name for the Deity: Theochristu, that is, theta, eta, omicron, chi, rho, iota, sigma, tau, upsilon.
regarding the number of the "beast" (666) . . . which is of course the best attested . . . I wish to propose nebekednesser; that is, the greek letters nu, eta, beta, eta, chi, eta, delta, nu, eta, sigma, sigma, eta, rho. Recall Daniel 4:l6? The Apocryphal book "JUDITH" refers to Nebekednesser as GOD and LORD OF THE WHOLE WORLD! [Walter C. Cambra]
It is a tragedy of the worst sort to imply by any stretch of the imagination that the Resurrection is past and that all of the prophecies given in the Epistles and by Christ were fulfilled in 70 AD. Absurd to say the least. Unbelief in the revealed word of God is rank in this view. All of the educated rhetoric and labor and intense work devoted to strain all of this out of the Scriptures is futile and evident of a strain of thought that seeks to turn folks away from the plain truth of the word of God. The errors that are so evident by "implications" - allorgorical - and symbolical twisting of the plain english language is almost comedy if it were not so evil in its final results. Hopefully these folks who believe in all of this preterist rot will repent and belivieve the unadulterated word of God and turn from trying to subvert the faith of the Saints who are looking for the blessed hope of all believers - the soon return of our Lord Jesus Christ and the Resurrection of His bride the Church. Until then I pray that God would confuse and remove this trivia from the minds of His true Saints. - Austin Travis

Come to Zion Ministry, Here is a question and answer e-mail you should read!!! CRISTIANS UNDER ATTACK So-called ''leaders'' of the Christian evangelical movement have agreed to give up spreading the Gospel of Christ in the Holy Land in order to avoid being jailed under a proposed Israeli law aimed at stamping out Christian missionary work in Israel. By Michael Collins Piper Anti-Christian forces led by a wide-ranging group of high-ranking Israeli officials won a major victory on March 30. Repersentatives of 50 different international Christian evangelical groups entered into what was described as an ''unprecedented'' joint statement promising not to carry out Christian missionary work in Isreal. In return, Isreali lawmaker Nissim Zvili said that he would drop his sponsorship of a proposed measure before the Isreali parliament [widely supported among various political factions in Isreal] that would outlaw any effort to teach or propagate Christian doctrine in Isreal. Under Zvili's highly popular proposal, any Christian misstionary found guilty of violating the law would be sent to prison for one year. Zvili hailed the Christian surrender, saying; ''This is better than a law. This is very big accomplishment.'' The Christian groups that surrendered to Isreali pressure, and thereby adandoned their long-standing practice of proselytizing the Christian faith, issued a statement saying that they rejoice in the presence of the Jewish people in this country of their ancestors and agreed to avoid activities which alienate Jews in Isreal from their tradition and community. In response to the surrender by the Christian groups in the face of the anti-Christian legislation, one American Christian evangelist, Rev. Dale Crowley Jr, expressed great shock and dismay. Crowley said that those groups that endorsed the agreement have, in Crowley's direct terms, ''Betrayed our Lord.'' Crowley says that purveying the Gospel of Christ to nonblievers is integral to the Christian faith and stems from the biblical great commission directing Christians to share their faith. Crowley notes that two newspapers with prominent circulation in the pro-Israel community, Washington Jewish Week and the New York City-based Forward, have ''quite notably''; in his words, not reported on this Israeli victory over Christian evangelism. Crowley said that he has been prodding Washington Jewish Week to publish the story but that, thus far, the influential publication has not done so. ''The Israelis want to keep this information under wraps,'' Crowley said, ''and the Christian groups that entered into this outrageous betrayal of their faith are ashamed of themselves, as they certainly should be.'' According to Crowley, the complete joint statement issued by the Christian groups has been virtually impossible to obtain, despite the fact that some 50 different groups have affixed their names to the statement. Also, says Crowley, the actual names of the 50 different groups that are signatories to the agreement are also out of reach. When the names of those groups are finally made public, says Crowley,Christians should cease supporting those groups since they have effectively betrayed their Biblical commission to spread the gospel by abandoning their missionary work in the land where Christ lived and carried out his work. VERY REAL PROBLEMS At the time the anti-Christian bill was first introduced in the Israeli parliament, even Rrv. David Allen Lewis, president of the pro-Israel group, Christians United for Israel, admitted that there were some very real problems with the legislation. ''This bill means great hardship for Zionist evangelicals like myself,'' said Lewis, who worried that the action would revive the argument of those who question Christian support for Israel, saying, ''How can you support the Jewish nation when they are against Christianity?'' When I contacted the offices of Christian evangelists Jerry Falwell and Pat Robertson, both of whom are loud advocates of pro-Israel policy [despite the ant-Christian stance of the Israeli leadership], neither would comment on the anti-Christian legislation. Sen. Jesse Helms [R-N.C] another vocal supporter of Israel [and ally of the so-called ''Christian Right'' in the United States]. likewise refused to provide me any comment on the anti-Christian offensive in Israel. Although Israel today is torn asunder by wast feuding among various political and religious factions even within the Jewish community as a whole, the anti-Christian proposal by Israeli lawmaker Zvili had wide-ranging support throughout the Israeli population. ARCHITECT NAMED Longtime Republican Party and conservative movement leader John Lofton, previously a pro-Israel zealot but now an unabashed Christian who is not afraid to criticize Israeli excesses, has been watching the anti- Christian offensive in Israel. Loton recently reported in his Lofton Report that Clarence Wagner, director of the evangelical foundation Bridges for Peace, was the architect of this agreement, which, in Lofton's words, ''denies our Lord.'' Lofton says that ''Wagner and his cowardly crew have chosen to obey men rather that God'' and that ''they have chosen to be ashamed of the Gosple even though,'' say Lofton, quoting Romans 1;16, ''it is power or God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.'' John Alpher of the American Jewish Committee's Israel/Middle East Office has hailed the sell-out as ''a dynamic Christisn commitment to the vitality of Israel and Judaism.'' His colleague, Rabbi A. James Rudin, the AJC'S ''director of interreligious affairs,'' said that the agreement is ''a strong refutation of those Christians who sadly still target Jews as possible converts to Christianity.'' Rudin says that he hopes the statement will be ''a model for others to emulate throughout the world.'' NOT PREACH? Lofton has strong words in response to the AJC'S comments; ''For openers, on Christian would ever agree not to preach the Gosple of the Lord Jesus Christ. Secondly, apart from Christ, there is no ''vitality'' for anybody, including Israel and Judaism. As for those Christians who ''sadly'' target Jews for conversion to Christianity, well the Lord Himself was one of those ''Christians.'' Lofton concluded; ''God forbid that this Christ-hating agreement should ever be emulated, or become a model, for anybody.'' Airtually the only national news publication in America to report on the Israeli war on Christianity was us on March 17, 1997. We published a special eight-page report entitled Israel Declares War on Christianity and told the story of the anti-Christian legislation. The special report featured a ground-breaking essay by the aforementioned Christian evangelist, Dale Crowley, Jr., in which Crowley refuted the popular political theory that the present day geographic entity know as Israel is not the ''Israel'' that is referred to in the Bible. Respones From Pal This is a true article. We, the Believers in Israel, have not stopped preaching the Gospel here. ALL Christian organizations and Churches from out of Israel that have offices here have signed pledges, not to spead the GOSPEL in ISRAEL. How shameful. Christians from all over the world contribute money to those organizations and we, the believers in Israel, go begging for money so we can spread the GOSPEL. Spread the word Tony. Let people know. the money they give to Israel through most Christian Charities goes to non believers through organizations that have signed pledges with the goverment NOT to Preach the GOOD NEWS in Israel. in HIS Service ALL Day Every Day Paul paul@cometozion.org E-mail 1: paul@cometozion.org

Is the book of revelation l5:4 the only place in the New Testament that directly refers to God The Father as "KING"?
what is preterism? i know its related to eschatology or in the field. the pages of your website are interesting. i stumbled across it after doing a web search of David Chilton, a man whose books i read over 15 years ago and whose writings and style i admired. very sorry to hear that he has died. i enjoyed his style very much.
I've recently come across the works of George Eldon Ladd and find them quite informative. Especially his Theology of the New Testament and his book Presence of the Future. Dr. Gaebelein in the Expositors Bible Commentary describes Dr. Ladd as Preterist/Futurist. I'm confused here. Is Dr. Ladd's theology considered Preterist? [In some ways, but he is mostly Futurist]
Great web site - almost an overload. I just recently realized I believe in reformed theology - just hadn't put a title to it. Question: Doesn't Romans 8:28 apply to my having a child out of wedlock? My Mom doesn't believe it does. You can contact me, if you will, at eroot@ci.santa-ana.ca.us Thank you. Elouise Root
Here's an early Quaker text you guys may find interesting. The author is William Bayly who was pretty much at the centre of the Quaker movement. Orthodox Quakers like myself take a pretty simillar to Shakers. Simn Watson (New Foundation Fellowship U.K.) Concerning Christ’s Second Coming, and Kingdom, and Reign; and of the Kingdoms of this World becoming his Kingdoms. I never read in all the Scriptures (as I can remember) of a third coming of Christ personally; in his own single person, or of a personal reign, besides what shall be in his saints. But I have read of the coming the second time without sin unto salvation, etc, which the apostles in their days did witness; yea, even his coming and kingdom, as may be mentioned hereafter. I believe most people (in that called Christendom, who have read the Scriptures) will confess Christ is come once already, even when he had the body prepared which he laid down and took up without the gates of Jerusalem; this I grant was a personal coming, or the God-head dwelt in that person bodily; this we conclude was his first coming to be manifest in these days; and we believe all the things that are [307] written to be really true; and that whatsoever he did or said must be fulfilled, etc. But now this being his first coming, he tells his disciples, while he was yet with them, that he must go away, and that it was expedient that he should go away, or else (said he) the Comforter will not come, the which if I go away I shall send unto you, even the Spirit of Truth, which shall abide with you forever, etc. Yet not withstanding sorrow had filled their Hearts, though he tells them, He would come again unto them, and their hearts should rejoice, and their joy no man should take from them: this was his promise to his disciples, while he was yet personally with the: and to comfort and strengthen them yet more, he told them, that he that was WITH them should be IN them, etc. For they loved his person for the sake of the frame and quality of the Spirit that dwelt in him; or else what was his person (being mean and contemptible) to them, more than another person? But for that which dwelt in him they loved him; let none mistake, I do not sleight it, nor the person of any of his brethren, or children, as they are prepared to do the will of their Father; but I do know in God’s counsel that it was even so, as it hath been also in these days among whom God the Father of mercies hath as it were deprived some of his disciples of the personal presence of some of his dear sons and servants, which may be to this end, that the same spirit and Life might be felt, possessed, lived to and [308] enjoyed in themselves, in their own particulars, in which only their eternal well-being consisteth. And so he taught them to pray, Our Father, etc. not to look at his person, and pray to him as a person without them; but bid them pray to their Father, which seeth in secret, who would reward them openly; and he that seeth in secret, searcheth the heart, and trieth the Reins: and he bid them pray, Thy Kingdom come; and the kingdom of heaven is within; and the heart and reins and the searcher of them is within; and he bid them, wait at Jerusalem till they were endued with power from on high, and the Kingdom of God consisteth in Power, etc, So they waited for his coming and Kingdom in their days after his bodily departure from them, and also came to enjoy what they waited for, and to receive the Promise of the Father, which was fulfilled unto them, and in them; for saith the apostle, we wait for his Son from Heaven; this was after he had suffered, and was departed from them; and at length said, The Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding that we know him that is true, and are in his that is true, this is the true God and eternal life; and this life is in his Son: and then again spake on this wise, We have received a kingdom which cannot be moved; let is have grace in our Hearts where we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear; for our God is a consuming fire, etc. So here they received the Kingdom, and the Son of God was come, and they were in him, who came [309] unto them in his Kingdom, Here was Christ’s prayer fulfilled, who said, That they might be one, as we are one, thou in me, and I in them, and they in me, that we all might be perfect in one, and here is their prayer also fulfilled, or answered, who said, thy Kingdom come, etc. when they received the Kingdom which could not be moved; which Kingdom Christ tells them was within, so this they received and witnessed, which was the second time unto salvation from sin, who never mentioned (as ever I read) of a personal coming and reign the third time, or of a third coming in a single personal appearance, as hath been imagined by many, who know not the waiting to be endued with power from high, but are running in their own wills and times, and will-worships, and feigned humilities, which is not at all accepted with God, while that birth is not born nor that body prepared, which only can do his will acceptably. But this we have read, of the pourings forth of the Spirit in the last days upon all flesh (then none is excepted) and Sons and Daughters should prophesy (which is come to pass); and that the Lord will come in ten thousands of saints to convince all the ungodly of their ungodly deeds and hard speeches, which ungodly sinners have spoken against him, and to execute his judgements (this is coming to pass); and that he will consume Antichrist by the Spirit of his Mouth, and destroy him [310] with the brightness of his coming (then not with carnal weapons, but with spiritual he will destroy Antichrist); and when this is done, then must the Kingdoms of this World needs become his, and he shall reign forever and ever. Blessed is the eye that sees, and the heart that feels and understands these things; for the time is born, and the day is dawned in which they shall be fulfilled: and this is the Word of the Lord of Heaven and Earth, who is come to reign, and reigneth and will reign, till all his enemies are become his foot-stool, and the kingdoms of this world become his kingdoms and dominions even forever and evermore; therefore let the earth tremble, and them that fear and obey him rejoice; Amen, Hallelujah, Amen.

The New Testament Book titled HEBREWS 9:25-26 mentions that Christ died only once, yet . . . The New Testament Book of Revelation ll:8-9 states: ". . . the streets of the great city, whose name in allegory is Sodom/Egypt . . . where also their Lord was crucified?" How can one square Hebrews 9:25-26 with Revelation ll:8-9 (Rev. l8:l0)?
It is time to set aside Hal Lindsey (The Late Great Planet Earth) and Lehaye (Left Behind, etc.) as serious Christian students of Scriptures. What they have written so far are nothing but fiction which should have never been taken seriously by mainstream Christian Churches. According to Psalm 110:1: "The Lord said to my Lord: 'Sit at my right hand until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet,'" which Jesus quoted in Matthew 22:41-46 and confirmed by Peter (Acts 2:32-36), Jesus will not return until the Father shall have succeeded to put Jesus' enemies under his feet. And Jesus' enemies are Israel, the nations, and so-called Christian Churches who support the so-called separation of Church and State - all who oppose Jesus KINGSHIP over their political governments (Luke 19:11-27)! Since the Father commanded Jesus "to sit at my right hand until . . .," the Father will allow Jesus to stand up to return to earth only when his TRUE CHURCH shall have succeeded to establish the KINGDOM OF GOD and HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS at the seat of power (government) of His Holy Nation (Israel) or nations! This means no more so-called GREAT TRIBULATION, hence, pre-tribulation rapture is a fiction, a fable, a lie! It is time for the PRETERIST CHURCHES to work to give geopolitical reality to Jesus' call to the KINGDOM OF GOD here on EARTH! Dr. Isabelo S. Good evening, My name is Pierre Boisjoli from Montreal and I developed a mathematical model by tensors between 1982 and 1984 which joins economy, social sciences and politic to explain the destiny of the world. I gave the model to the President of International Conference of Social Action in August 1984. Gorbachev used it to split the USSR and I saved the world. I had a very difficult life because my family stool me the money from the heritage of my parent and I cry against them. They putted Motorcycle gangs against me. I am like a lonely wolf against the beast.I wrote my story on the web at the address www.geocities.com/p_wellwood/ . Texts are in french; it is my first language. To understand who I am, I invite you to read the Interpretation of King Nabucodonosor dream reported by the prophet Daniel in the Old Testament. The two legs of the statue are the freedom and efficacity for capitalist world and solidarity and social justice for communist world and the pebble droped on the toe of the statue is my mathematical model. I invite you to read my story and to write me at the address boisjoli2004@yahoo.ca . I believe that mass destruction weapons are the sword of Apocalypse. Thank you for your attention and may God bless you Pierre Boisjoli The Divine Counsellor
Mr. Hibbard, I have been a preterist for about five years now; a believer in Christ the Son of God for six. I was raised Christian (futurist, basically premil), but was not one; I thought that the nonsensical application of "you"s to people well beyond the addressees made God an "idiot." I always had serious difficulty with the first and second person context of most of the passages which futurists apply beyond the addressed audience. Preterism was literally a "Godsend," in that I realized that the Bible wasn't as mystical as futurists would have us believe. God speaks to be understood! Amen. When it comes to the "rapture," I am as yet undecided. Obviously, something happened to those pre-parousia Christians. They were either brainwashed - so to speak - "knowledge will cease," or they were actually taken. But as you noted, the fact that if they were actually taken would have spawned UNINSPIRED writings, unpaid Roman taxes for example. There are dilemmas on both sides. So I have not yet come to a conclusion. However, I have a big dilemma of my own (perhaps others have it as well) which I hoped you might be able to address: In following the "audience relevancy" hermeneutic, I have a few questions. 1) Was not the "Great Commission" addressed to Christ's apostles? If so, what are we to teach? 2) If we are to teach, as I have been told, "a completed kingdom;" I do this under whose authority? What I mean to say, is that I have found nowhere in scripture any instruction to teach BEYOND "the end." Everything in Scripture was LEADING UP TO THE END, it doesn't address times beyond - maybe I'm missing something. I do know that in Revelation there is passages that relate to times beyond the end, but there are no indications whatsoever, of any teaching to be done. If I'm mistaken, please inform me of where they are. Furthermore, the first century church was given the Holy Spirit in Christ's absence. They were to use this "Paraclete" for knowledge, etc. We can notice, throughout the NT, that the Apostles (Peter is probably the best example) were given everything that they needed to say (knowledge.) Once Christ returned, such "knowledge, prophecy, and tongues" was to cease (because they were "for a sign" of the soon coming kingdom.) Now, if that knowledge has ceased, the fact of disparaging views of scripture - along with the inability to answer "with authority" - seem to prove this, then I ask again, 3) Under whose, or what authority do we teach? You can email me at Praeterbro@aol.com. Thank you very much for your time and consideration, Sincerely seeking the truth, Your brother, Timothy Brown.

Jack, this has nothing to do with the topic, but i do not know where to send this, but i pray somebody reads this, and that you will forgive me for not routing this message to the right channel, Dr. Van Impe. I know that most of us beleive it is scriptural to believe that God reveals prophetic things through dreams and visions, and i must share this, along with a number of other people who have and are still having the very same dream, or vision. All of us (several) have had the same one. We are all born-agian believers who ardently watch your program, and live along the guidelines of biblical scripture, and if it does not line up with the word,it is not biblical, and that is why we all take sound heed to your prophecies, as they all line up with the word of God. We all see a massive invasion of this country (America), by foreign invaders. Planes of dark camo flat green, or olive , with large red stars on the wings are flying in by the hundreds, dispensing armed para-troopers by the hundreds of thousands! There are so many of them, none of us has a prayer, and hence we (Americans)-are all taken captive, by soldiers of Asian descent. We are then all harbored in masses to concentration camps, to be "re-educated", under the name of a great leader, one whose name we know clearly, but totally forget when we awaken. The assault is a low elevation attack, and wwe are all caught off guard. Please-what does this mean? And can it be mere coincidence that all of us have the same dream. THose who oppose this leader, or try to escape of course, are shot or put to death some how. Mikeybro102@aol.com
